What’s New at ZeroCore: A Faster Quote Page, Collection Times and More Colours

Since our September update, most of our work has gone into making ordering quicker and clearer. The quote page has a new layout, more orders can be paid on the spot, pickup customers can book a time, and you can now pick colours we don't keep in stock. Here is what changed.

A Quote Page That Shows the Price First

The price used to sit a couple of screens below your model, and further down still on a phone. Now a short summary sits right under the 3D preview. It shows the price, material and colour, the ready-by date, and whether the price is exact or waits for a quick check, and you can order or add to your cart from there.

• Settings in a simpler order. Pick the material and quantity first, then the colour, then timing. Rotation, supports, infill and overhang settings are tucked into one Print settings panel, with a short explanation of each.
• The price stays on screen while it updates. Change a setting like quantity or infill and the old price stays visible under "Updating price…". The new price then appears with a note saying how much it moved.
• Pinned on desktop. On a laptop or desktop, the model and price stay in view while you scroll through the settings.

Pay Straight Away, or Know Exactly What Happens Next

• Carts can be paid at once. If every line in your cart has an exact price from our slicer, you pay right after placing the order, just like a single item.
• "Nothing to pay yet" when we need to check a file. Some files need a quick look before we can confirm the price. Checkout, your order page and your emails now all say so plainly. We email the final price and PayNow QR, and the QR also appears on your order page, so you can come back and pay there.
• Quotes we send you open ready to pay. If we send you a quote link, pressing Accept now creates your order and takes you straight to it to pay.

Book a Collection Time

If you collect your order yourself, you can now book a time slot as well as a date, when you order or later from your order page. Time slots follow our collection hours, and if you pick a day we're closed, we'll ask you to choose another. Your slot shows on your order page, and "Add to calendar" adds it as a timed event.

More Colours, Ordered In on Request

Until now, a colour we had run out of simply vanished from the quote page. Some colours now stay listed under Ordered in on request. Picking one adds a small order-in fee, charged once for each ordered-in colour in your order (even if several items use it), and moves your ready-by date out by the days it takes to get the filament in. Your quote shows both before you order. If a big job needs more of a shelf colour than we have, that colour is ordered in the same way. For now this works for single-colour prints.

Ready-By Dates That Include Drying

Materials like TPU and carbon-fibre nylon soak up moisture from Singapore's air, so we dry them before printing. That drying time is now built into the ready-by date you see when you get a quote, and the quote page explains why. Our on-time and on-spec guide covers the other ways we keep dates honest.

Clearer Order Updates

Order statuses now say how your order leaves us. Delivery orders read Ready to Ship, and pickups read Ready for Collection. Once a finished order is paid in full, you'll see "Paid · Awaiting Shipment" or "Paid · Awaiting Collection", so you always know what's next. You can also look up an order at /track with your email and its reference code.

Quick FAQ

Do I need an account to use the new features?

No. Guest checkout still works, and collection times, order-in colours and the new quote page are open to everyone.

Why does my order say "nothing to pay yet"?

Your file needs a quick check before we can confirm the price. We'll email the final price and a PayNow QR, and the QR also appears on your order page.

Can I change my collection time after ordering?

Yes. Open your order page and pick another slot from the days we're open.

Why does an ordered-in colour take longer?

We don't keep that colour on the shelf, so we order the filament in for your print. The extra days are already in the ready-by date on your quote, counted from when you pay.
