A build volume of roughly 325 × 320 × 325 mm handles most helmets and chest pieces in one piece; anything bigger is split into panels that assemble after printing.
Light enough to wear all day
PLA prints crisp detail at a low weight — kind to the wearer over a long con day — and takes primer and paint well. PETG is the step up when a piece needs to survive knocks and travel.
Fragile features flagged early
Armour geometry is full of overhangs and thin edges. We check every file before printing and flag fragile features or risky orientations first.

From our workshop
Large helmets and armour pieces are usually split into panels rather than printed as one shell — send the wearer’s key measurements and we can advise on how to divide the design and where the seams sit. We print and ship the raw part; sanding (120 grit up through 400–600 grit), a filler primer and paint are the last steps on your end.
Frequently asked questions
Can you 3D print a full cosplay helmet or armour piece?
Often yes in one piece — our large-format printers have a build volume of roughly 325 × 320 × 325 mm. Bigger helmets and chest pieces are split into panels that glue or bolt together after printing. Message us with the size and we’ll confirm.
Do you sand, prime or paint the prop for me?
No — we’re a print-only service, so you receive the raw printed part in your chosen material and colour. Finishing is on you, but it’s straightforward: sand from 120 grit up through 400–600 grit, apply a filler primer, then paint in thin coats.
Which material is best for cosplay armour?
PLA is the usual choice — lightweight, detailed, and comfortable to wear for a full day. PETG is worth the upgrade for pieces that get knocked around or travel in a bag, since it’s tougher and more impact-resistant. Keep either material out of a hot car or direct sun — PLA softens from around 60 °C.
I don’t have a 3D model of the prop — can you make one?
We’re print-only and don’t offer design or CAD modelling. Check Printables, Thingiverse, MakerWorld or Thangs first — many popular props are already modelled. For something original, free tools like TinkerCAD or Fusion 360 can get you there, and we’re happy to print the result.
