What is ASA?

ASA is the go-to material for outdoor and sun-exposed applications. It offers excellent UV stability and weathering resistance, maintaining its colour and mechanical properties over years of outdoor exposure. Similar strength profile to ABS but without the UV degradation.

ASA is what you reach for when a part has to live outside. Garden fixtures, automotive trim, signage, exterior brackets — anywhere Singapore's UV and humidity would degrade PLA or PETG within months. It holds colour and mechanical properties for years of direct-sun exposure and tolerates heat up to ~100 °C. We print ASA in our fully enclosed Bambu Studio X1C with active filtration — required for both quality and indoor air.

From our workshop

ASA orders take a little longer to slice and print because we run them with a longer prep cycle (chamber pre-heat, enclosure verification). Same-day turnaround is still typical but rush jobs may need 24 hours. ASA also costs slightly more per gram than PLA / PETG — reflected in the live quote.
